President Obama’s Weekly Address

How does Obama look at the camera with his right eye and over my right shoulder with his left eye? That’s kinda creepy.

The headlines that Obama’s making noise that he’s going to turn his attention to the deficit are making me nervous. I know he probably has to pay lip service to it, but this isn’t the time to be worrying about that. Contrary to what the wingnuts want us to believe, the entire reason our economy went back into a recession in the late 1930s (after it had been on the upswing under the New Deal) is because Roosevelt decided he was going to try to balance the budget too soon and took his foot off the gas.

Anyway, maybe I’ll try to talk more about all that when I emerge from my Oscars-induced stupor. But that won’t happen for another couple days…
