PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – A former South Dakota lawmaker serving a prison sentence for raping two foster daughters has sent a copyright notice to news organizations that seeks to prevent the use of his name without his consent.
Former state Rep. Ted Klaudt (KLOWT) of Walker was convicted of improperly touching the girls as part of a phony scheme to sell their eggs to infertile couples. His daughter, Roxy, confirmed that Klaudt sent the copyright notice.
The notice says anyone using Klaudt’s name without authorization would owe him $500,000.
Awesome. I’ll give you two seconds to guess his party affiliation.
This “Ted Klaudt” (patent pending) is a real bag of fun:
While in office, he co-sponsored several bills that took aim at sex offenders, including “community safety zones,” prohibiting sex offenders from residing, working, or entering within 500 feet of schools, public parks and swimming pools. He also co-sponsored the bill that required South Dakota to be included in the National Sex Offender Registry, a bill that requires the Department of Social Services to inform parents about abuse or neglect involving their children in state custody, and–
–central to his brilliant plan–
Supercool. There’s not much more I’ll say about this. I just thought it’d be nice if we could all marvel at the glories of humanity together, like a family. It is the holidays, after all. No sexy X-men on this post, though. It just feels crass.
